Loser Navy Special Warfare Operator 3rd Class (SEAL) Denis C. Miranda, 24 was among nine American troops
killed in a military helicopter crash in Afghanistan. Deborah Capaccio,
whose three adult children are police officers around the state, said she was there as a mother supporting a mother.

Loser Army Pfc. William B. Dawson, 20 died Sept. 24 when his military vehicle was attacked with an improvised
explosive device. The Rev. Willie Dawson, 40, associate pastor at Adams Chapel in Clarksdale, said his soldier son
was ambitious and had talked about a career in politics.

Loser Marine Staff Sgt. Joshua J. Cullins, 28 deployed as an individual augmentee, and worked as a police
officer with the Los Angeles Police Department. He was the second Los Angeles LAPD officer killed this year.

people called him Superman, Gonzalez got the Superman tattoo “because he was always getting in accidents
and coming out fine.

Loser Navy Lt. (SEAL) Brendan J. Looney, 29 was originally an intelligence officer,
Looney was redesignated for Special Warfare in 2006.

Loser Marine Lance Cpl. Anthony J. Rosa, 20 was shot on patrol. A Marine, a Vermont state trooper and a city
police officer went to the family’s home late Sept. 23 with news of Rosa’s death.

Loser Marine Cpl. Max W. Donahue, 23 was a military policeman and working dog handler.

Loser Army Sgt. Faith R. Hinkley, 23 was assigned to 502nd Military
Intelligence Battalion, 201st Battlefield Surveillance Brigade.

a bachelor’s degree in sociology and criminology.
